INTRAcel™ Radio Frequency Microneedling
By utilizing its fractional microneedle multi-layer therapy, Intracel reaches all skin layers to tighten skin, reduce scars and stretch marks, and improve wrinkles and lines. Only topical anesthetic cream is needed, it’s safe for all skin types, and patients are able to wear makeup the following day after this RF microneedling treatment.
What is Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling?
INTRAcel™ Microneedling reaches all layers of the skin with the ability to deliver both monopolar and bipolar radiofrequency microneedling. This is a type of collagen induction therapy designed to stimulate the body’s own collagen and elastin production to tighten and rejuvenate the skin.
What is it used to treat?
The INTRAcel™ RF micro-needling device can be used to rejuvenate your skin in the following areas:
Face and neck
- Loose jowls including an undefined jawline
- Sagging skin under one’s chin
- Fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and forehead

What results can I expect?
Results can vary, depending on the original quality of your skin and degree of damage. Normally INTRAcel™ treatments continue to improve the skin for up to six months for plumper, glowing skin and smaller pores. Generally, INTRAcel treatment will result in:
- Smoother, tighter and more elastic skin
- Improvement of wrinkles and fine lines
- Improvement in skin texture
- Improvement in stretch marks and scars including acne and surgical scars
- Improvement in crepey skin
- Diminished pore size
RF Microneedling is normally well tolerated. We provide a topical numbing ointment to reduce discomfort. Unlike other RF Microneedling devices such as Profound, Vivace, and Morpheus 8, Intracel can deliver both monopolar and bipolar RF energy. Monopolar energy, which radiates downward and not between the needles, leads to significantly less discomfort with higher energy delivery than bipolar only devices. Only the Intracel device offers both monopolar and bipolar capability. Often, both will be utilized in one treatment for synergistic effects at various treatment depths.
Depending on the condition of the skin in the area being treated, we typically recommend an initial series of 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. 3-5 treatments is most common. Improvement in tone and texture are seen in the weeks to months following each treatment. Fine line and wrinkle reduction are generally seen between 3-6 months after each treatment due to the long healing process of subcutaneous tissues and the generation of new collagen.
Post-treatment, patients generally experience 1-2 days of redness and dryness of skin. Makeup can be applied starting 24 hours after treatment. A comprehensive post-treatment skincare regimen will be discussed to maximize results
